The Eunos Roadster, also known as the Mazda Miata or MX-5, was unveiled at the 1989 Chicago Auto Show. Its front-mounted 1597cc inline four-cylinder FR engine realized excellent speed and agility. The Eunos was a smash hit and ushered in a worldwide boom in sporty two-seat roadsters.
