While everybody is thinking about the future challenges of fuel efficiency, they tend to put lower priorities on driving fun. But at Mazda, the engineers look at the challenge of fuel efficiency differently. They did what they are good at. They approached the contradiction of combining fuel efficiency with driving by leveraging their light weight philosophy. They came up with a radical and unique solution to deliver driving fun, by re-designing the engine, body & chassis and transmission, making each part lighter, compacter and more fuel efficient, without sacrificing vehicle safety The result is the new CX-5, delivering an agile and lively driving experience with improved performance, handling and braking and best in class fuel efficiency.
